An impromptu request to accompany a friend to Wales to have her Harp serviced gave me the opportunity to continue my annual pilgrimage, which I thought I would not be able to make this year due to the over budget of re-designing my back garden. We found a lovely little cottage in West Wales, not far from the Preseli mountains where the blue stones were used in the construction of Stonehenge. At a small village called Mynach-ddu there was a stone circle set in some marshland (Gors Faw) There I lay a small stone gift to the ancestors to mark my visit. An Ogham stone was tucked away in St Thomas's Church at St Dogmaels, that was a surprise find because we were not really heading for St Dogmael's but were looking for the beach?
To walk the path of the Bard on his/her journey to become a Druid and thus enlightenment. When the Awen flows, the Bard can do nothing but become the vessel for divine inspiration which will manifest through Poetry,Artwork and Story as s/he receives it. I will also share pilgrimages to the Sacred sites of the Ancestors of Albion. This is my quest. x/|\x
About Me
- The Bardic Artist
- I am just finishing my Ovate course with O.B.O.D and hope to start my Druid grade in the new year. Since walking the path of the Bard, I have been influenced by Myth and Legend plus poetry. I am an artist and have abandoned the idea of painting landscapes, local scenes and such and have started a new venture of Fantasy Art which I have to say, I'm really enjoying. This type of artwork is more in keeping with my personality. As a pagan, nature plays a huge roll in my creations whether it be poetry or painting.
